Every year during hurricane season, Senior Friendly Fitness brings together local businesses, health plans, emergency services, and community organizations to donate hurricane preparedness supplies to senior citizens across Belle Glade and the Glades region. Our 2026 event is planned for the September time frame.

What Is The Hurricane Giveaway?
Florida's hurricane season runs June through November — and seniors are among the most vulnerable during storms. That's why Senior Friendly Fitness organizes an annual hurricane preparedness giveaway, bringing together the full community to make sure our seniors are ready.
Each year we reach out to local businesses, government agencies, health plans, and community organizations to donate hurricane preparedness items. These items are distributed FREE to qualifying senior citizens — no cost, no catch.
This event is one of the most important things we do. It's not just about fitness — it's about making sure our seniors survive and thrive, no matter what comes their way.
