What SilverSneakers Is
SilverSneakers is a fitness program for older adults, run by Tivity Health. It is not something you buy from us. It arrives as part of a health plan: many Medicare Advantage plans, along with some Medicare Supplement and group retiree plans, include a SilverSneakers membership at no additional cost to the member.
The membership covers access to participating gyms and fitness locations across the country, SilverSneakers group classes taught by instructors certified in the program, and live and on-demand workouts online for people who would rather start at home.
The classes themselves are built for older bodies rather than adapted for them — a seated option for every standing movement, hand weights and resistance bands instead of heavy machines, and a pace that leaves room to talk to the person next to you.
What it means here
- Our instructors are certified to teach SilverSneakers, so the benefit can be used in Belle Glade and South Bay instead of driving east for it.
- SilverSneakers Classic, EnerChi and BOOM Move are on our schedule; availability varies by location.
- If your plan includes SilverSneakers, there is no membership fee to us.
- We cannot confirm your eligibility ourselves — only your plan can. Use the official checker, or call us and we will sit with you while you check.
